The Movimento Turismo del Vino Puglia Consortium is flying to China to take part in the Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair for the sixth consecutive year – this year’s fair is from 5th to 7th November.
The wineries representing the Movimento Turismo del Vino Puglia are Amastuola of Massafra (Ta), Casa Vinicola Coppi of Turi (Ba) and Varvaglione Vigne&Vini of Leporano (Ta). They will be in the Vinitaly International area of the fair, extended by 10% this year to over 1000 square metres of exhibition space.

The VinidiPuglia VI project will run until the end of October 2016 – he continues – and will take the thirteen participating wineries on a world tour to China, Canada, the USA, Brazil and other countries outside Europe to publicize and promote the quality, typicality and genuineness of our products and the entire Puglia brand”.
Hong Kong is a very strategic and interesting starting point, as it not only offers a “fast track” for exports to continental China, but is itself one of the crucial markets for Italian wines. Just last year, wine imports to Hong Kong grew by 5.1%, worth a total of 984 million euros (source: HKTDC), of which the Italian share was 1.5%, while a further increase in wine imports took place between January and July 2015 (source: Istat).
The last International Wine and Spirits Fair hosted over 1,000 exhibitors from 38 countries and welcomed over 20,000 buyers from more than 75 countries. This confirmed the fair as an excellent springboard for wineries interested in entering and consolidating their brands on the Asian market, which is very interested in high quality Italian products.
The Apulian winery Varvaglione Vigne e Vini is attending the events scheduled by Vinitaly International in November 2015, within the“Wine & Spirits Fair Vinitaly International 2015 in Hong Kong and Russia”.
The 2015 Vinitaly International Wine & Spirits Fair will be in Hong Kong from November 5th – 7th at the booth 3F-E14/3F/E16 and in the Russian capital, Moscow, on November 16th. The 2015 Hong Kong event will have global resonance and it will be a meeting point for experts in the wine and spirits field, such as buyers, importers, distributors, sommeliers, retailers, wholesalers and restaurateurs. Also, it will have a plus oriented to improve the “international market intelligence” and study new market trends the wine field, all in a business-oriented and multicultural atmosphere.
In the last years, the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair has become a fundamental step for Vinitaly International and Varvaglione Vigne & Vini is attending it this year again. Last year 20 thousand buyers from 75 Countries – Italy included – took part to the event, with more than and 30 thousand daily visitors.
The 2015 Vinitaly in Russia is known in Moscow as the most important B2B event, exclusively dedicated to Italian wine. It will take place on November 16th. Last edition hosted about 1600 visitors in just one day, all wine experts including importers, retailers, ho.re.ca professionals, opinion leaders and journalists, not only from big cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg, but also from other regions of the Country. As usual, the main characters of the event are Italian producers and Varvaglione Vigne & Vini always stands out for productions and varieties.
Also, for Vinitaly Russia 2015, Vinitaly International has scheduled different activities, aimed at promoting the direct meeting between wine experts and improving the knowledge about Italian wine abroad, simplifying the language and unifying the image worldwide. Among these events, the event includes a Walk Around Tasting B2B (from 1 to 6 pm) and private tastings aimed at introducing wines to a selected public. Moreover, Executive Wine Seminars of Vinitaly International Academy will take place, where Ian D’Agata – international expert in Italian wine, well known and appreciated by the Russian public – will present the wines he scientifically selected.
Vinitaly International is one of the maximum representations of Italian wine in the world, that encourages communication and cooperation between the Italian wine producers and the characters of the main international markets. Also this year, Varvaglione Vigne & Vini is going to represent the Made in Italy wine in the world.
